Abstract
Digital logic design has always been interesting area for me. After spending sufficient amount of time on search, I found one challenging project in this field. Aim of the project is to design l2C interface between CMOS image sensor and FPGA. This l2C interface can configure the image sensor. Nowadays, we can easily connect different types of camera to the computer. Use of the computer to characterize and/or change properties of a camera is simple. This may require just a software application on a computer, but it is an expensive way to do it. Design of a stand-alone system to configure the camera in real time is challenging design task. Once we are able to configure the camera sensor, we can change the quality of image output. Use of FPGA provides more flexibility in designing. The FPGA for this kind of prototype design is a perfect solution. Once this project is completed, we can use it to configure a camera at vary low cost.
