Abstract
Domestic terrorism has gained increased attention in recent years in the United States. However in comparison to international terrorism, it is not discussed as often. Because of this, the next step in post-secondary criminal justice education should integrate and acknowledge this phenomenon while allowing students to understand the topic of terrorism as a whole. This course acts as an introduction to the fundamental concepts, ideology groups, motivations, history, and case studies related to domestic terrorism in the U.S. To compile this project, sources include previous course syllabi and literature regarding domestic terrorism and adult learning.
