Abstract
It was the purpose of this study: (1) to try to determine the effectiveness of an intensified perceptual approach to learning for the educable mentally retarded children in a particular primary class; (2) if this approach seemed justified in selected areas of learning, it was hoped that the understanding gained would suggest other effectual methods and teaching techniques for the present curriculum, (3) and then to develop a progressive individualized approach to learning which would result in more nearly maximum individual achievement for the selected class of primary educable mentally retarded children with projected possibilitiesfor further and more extended study.
