Abstract
The purpose of this project was to explore employee turnover intentions within the division of Student Affairs at California State University, Sacramento. Employee turnover was viewed through the lenses of organizational commitment and satisfaction with telework. Qualitative and quantitative survey responses were used to evaluate the relationships between these variables. Survey data was quantified and analyzed using SPSS software. Correlational analyses showed significant relationships between organizational commitment, turnover intention, and satisfaction with telework. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on this specific workforce and on this project was discussed. Recommendations for decreasing employee turnover intention, increasing employee satisfaction while teleworking and organizational commitment were based on results from the data. Recommendations for future research on the topic of employee turnover were discussed.
