Abstract
Recent trends within the United States Air Force Air T-raining Command indicate that emphasis is being placed upon a decrease of the levels of organization and the combining of similar functions. At present, navigator training at Mather Air Force Base, California is being conducted by two squadrons which have similar organization structures. The entire training program is composed of seven different courses which fall into two major areas - basic navigation and radar navigation. These same areas constitute the basis for the differentiation between the two squadrons presently conducting navigator training. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of combining into a single squadron all of the personnel, activities and functions of these two training squadrons.
