Abstract
The contents of this study have been reached, developed and organized through the cooperation and collaboration on the part of Magdalena Downing and Vichika Helen Ith. This is a qualitative study exploring the displacement and assimilation of Cambodian adults living in Northern California. In a sample of 50 Cambodians adults, as a result, the participants in this study continued to have negative views about the American cultures. One of the surprised findings from the current study indicated that Cambodian cultures are not related to their displacement and assimilation process, which explained that the Cambodian cultures do not interfere with their acculturation difficulties.
