Abstract
This exploratory and qualitative study explored 40 Hmong persons residing in Sacramento County and the likelihood that these participants would become foster parents. Participants' demographic backgrounds were examined as potential factors that may influence participation for the 40 individuals involved. A snowball sampling method was used to recruit Hmong participants for the study. The study project included 40 Hmong adults from Sacramento, California. The questionnaire consisted of 27 closed-ended questions.
Data indicated that some Hmong participants were willing to become foster parents. Cross-tabulations regarding the participants demographic variables produced no significant evidence association that Hmong individuals would be willing to become foster parents.
