Abstract
It was the intent of the present writer to study the organization and administration of the field trip program in selected elementary schools of California during the school year, 1953-1954. This, in turn, was to serve as the basis for developing an elementary school excursion program utilizing the best of the practices in general use and adapting forms and procedures which seemed most appropriate to the local situation.
