Abstract
Metrics form an important part of any software project. They can be valuable for managers of large or small software projects. By tracking known metrics, managers of projects can track, report on and make decisions, which will ensure successful projects. One of the emerging software development life-cycle models today is the Agile Software Development Model. Agile Software Projects are different from traditional Software Development Models. Metrics for agile projects should be tracked different. The project is aiming at identifying a set of metrics that are necessary for and specific to Agile Software Development and developing a semi-automatic tool to collect data from Agile Software Development projects. This tool can track the metrics identified, analyze the metrics using a standard benchmark, and then generate reports on the metrics for the improvement of future development process.
