Abstract
The objective of this research study is to explore the hireability of individuals with “r” distorted speech compared to individuals with typical speech. Specifically, this research aims to look at the perceptions of those in their mid-late adulthood concerning societal norms of hiring.
The results showed a significant difference between the two variables, indicating that individuals with “r” distortions are less likely to be hired for job positions when compared to individuals with typical speech. Our hypothesis is supported by these findings.
