Abstract

RBT vs. DSP Communication sciences and disorders research Registered behavior technicians Direct support professionals

This is a research project our group did examining the differences in training methods for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), as well as how confident they feel using their training during escalated behaviors. Our goal within this project is to bring awareness to the areas in which DSPs and RBTs trainings fall short, to ensure the safety of their consumers and the staff involved.
