Ethnic-Racial Identity Development Child and Adolescent Development Teacher Attitude Teacher Education Ethnic Studies

This qualitative study explored how Ethnic Studies teachers in Northern California perceive and experience their role in supporting Black students' ethnic-racial identity development. This research bridges developmental science and Ethnic Studies- traditionally grounded in history and sociology- to highlight the developmental significance of identity formation in the classroom.
