Abstract
Interprofessional education occurs whenstudents fromtwoormoreprofessionslearnabout, from andwitheachotherwiththeultimategoal of improving health outcomes (IPECE,2011). Previous research indicated that book clubs can make the patient’s experience more real to students and that an IPE book club met the Interprofessional Education Collaborative’s IPE Core Competency of Interprofessional Communication (KilhamandGriffiths,2017). The goal of this book club was to explore if there was any self reported change in participant attitudes regarding IPE and interprofessional collaborative practice after participation in an IPE book club. The objective of the Interprofessional Education (IPE) book club was to provide students and faculty from various departments with an opportunity to participate in an IPE activity with a focus on aging and older adults that was outside of the classroom environment.
