Abstract

The purpose of this systematic review was to explore relevant variables (e.g., program content, outcome measure, structure, participant demographics) for group aural rehabilitation research with older adults. Although participants report benefits from group aural rehabilitation (AR) programs, outcome measures are not always sensitive to individual-level changes, and other variables may need to be considered when designing, implementing, and evaluating an effective group AR program.
