Abstract
A holistic approach to educating a group of older adults with hearing loss was explored. Topics included lipreading, auditory training, cognition, stigma, balance, and hearing-related technology. Nine older adult participants completed pre- and post-seminar outcome measures. Pilot data revealed significant improvements in confidence when conversing in challenging listening environments. Graduate students in speech-language pathology also participated in the seminars, providing a unique opportunity for student training in aural rehabilitation/
