Abstract
[CIP Washburn] (American Indian studies, Univ. of Arizona, Tucson) paints a picture of [Louise Erdrich]'s life and writing career, beginning in her childhood and continuing to the present. Erdrich was married to the late Michael Dorris, a major force in American Indian studies, and Washburn gives special consideration to Erdrich's relationship to Dorris and its possible impact on her work.
