Abstract
[David Barton] (Lancaster Univ., UK) and Lee (Chinese Univ., Hong Kong) explore both online practices and online texts in order to discover if and how language is changing. In 13 chapters that cover a wide range of topics related to language use online-e.g., multilingualism, education, self-representation-the authors demonstrate that language use online is situated in everyday practices and that the distinction between online and offline language use has blurred.
