This two-volume set is the first handbook of its kind to focus exclusively on the late-20th- and early-2 1 st-century problem of the digital divide, prevalent in the globalized information society. The articles are academic in narure, illustrating empirical studies and the latest research on the topic; for this reason, the handbook would be best suited for college and university libraries.
