Abstract
[Margaret Atwood]'s five-decade-long career has been characterized by remarkable producrivity and variety. She has published novels, short story and poetry collections, children's books, and nonfiction and criticism, and she has created cartoons and participated in the adaptation of her work into film and opera. Her career has also run parallel to the evolution of feminism, and her work exhibits a preoccupation with gender.
