Abstract
The North Kharga Oasis Darb ‘Ain Amur Survey (NKODAAS) of the American University in Cairo has been surveying the area between Kharga Oasis and ‘Ain Amur since 2007. The particular northern route that connects Kharga with the mini-oasis, fed by the spring, ‘Ain Amur, to Dakhleh Oasis is known as the Darb ‘Ain Amur and complements the Darb el-Ghubari, the more southern route connecting Kharga with Dakhleh (Ikram, 2013a; 2019a; 2019b; Rossi and Ikram, 2013). During the course of this survey, several sites from different periods have been discovered, attesting to the changing environment, routes, and uses of the desert
