Abstract
This project highlights the content and process of my artistic expression in ceramic sculpture. The source for the content is the phenomenology of the world and the philosophical implications that I derive from interpreting its meaning. My work is about attempting to understand the language of earthly matter and honoring its animistic spirituality. The work is a form of conversation with the world that allows me to be in communion with the elemental essence of natural existence. This is a very personal journey that is not intended to make a claim or political stance but rather to engage curiosity and empathy for things that are otherwise considered inanimate.
